Activities:Ethnos’ activities include the arrangement of Finnish scientific seminars and trips abroad and the issuing of publications. Ethnologia Fennica, edited by Ethnos, is an English-language journal on ethnology. Moreover, members of Ethnos have established book clubs in Helsinki and Turku, with the objective of reviewing recently-published research. Of the association’s international activities, it is worth mentioning the symposia organised jointly by Finnish and Hungarian ethnologists. The latest, that is, the ninth, was held in Finland in 2006.The association also publishes its own newsletter three to four times a year. |
